A new range of golden decor products have been launched just in time for the festive period.

Andre Van Pier has designed a unique range of 24-carat gold accessories as well as stunning gold on silk weaved furnishings, reports News-Antique. The collection is being launched at the Seventh Regimen Armory 643 Park Avenue in Manhattan at the start of next month and will highlight the versatility of gold.

Gold scarves and ties will be available for between $500 (£256) and $25,000 (£12,800), while a matching jacket could cost $75,000 (£38,400).

Mr Van Pier has designed items for a number of celebrities including Madonna, Beyonce, Mick Jagger and David Bowie and is one of the hottest haute couture experts in the fashion world.

Aside from the new range of fashion and home decor items, the new 24-gold carat line will also include the exclusive Youth Elixir cream. Costing $1,000 an ounce, the product has a high gold content aimed at helping to prevent wrinkles and strengthen muscle tone.
