A second gold South African coin has been found in a donation kettle by Salvation Army workers in Omaha, Nebraska.
The coin, which has an estimated value of $850 (£413), was deposited in a charity kettle in the city by an anonymous donor, who had wrapped it in a $1 note and attached a brief message.
"It looked just like a little present," said Brandon Braithwaite, the Salvation Army volunteer supervising the kettle told Omaha's KETV 7 News.
According to Salvation Army workers, the note said: "From a copycat donor. This makes two. I hope it brings more to you."
The second coin is a full-ounce gold Krugerrand and was given from the heart, according to Joanne Bemis of the charity campaign.
Earlier this month, the Omaha branch of the Salvation Army told local news channel Action 3 News that it was suffering from a lack of volunteers for it's annual Red Kettle Christmas campaign.
Last Christmas, Salvation Army campaigns in the state raised more than $500,000 to support a number of charitable causes.
