Jeweller can set your name in gold

Friday 27th 2008f June, 2008
Designer Solange Azagury-Partridge can make gold rings that are truly individual, according to Vogue.

"Surely one of the all-time cult pieces is her name ring: just tell her your name and she'll set it in gold," the magazine notes.

Described as one of the style bible's best-loved designers, Azagury-Partridge is also popular with celebrities and "fashion literate" jewellery fans.

The gold name rings can also be encrusted with gems, if this is specifically required, the magazine states.

According to the Telegraph, the jeweller opened her first shop on Westbourne Grove in 1995, launching her first fragrance, Stoned, in 2006.

Jewellery is one of the best gifts for girlfriends, Azagury-Partridge told the publication.

The word-based nature of her jewellery may have derived from her childhood ambitions, as the designer also revealed that she grew up wanting to be a translator or an interpreter.

Azagury-Partridge has been leading workshops on how to transform junk into jewellery at Topshop's Oxford Circus store this month, the Independent revealed recently.
