A town in the north-west US state of Montana is set to celebrate its gold mining history, it has been revealed.
According to a report in the Billings Gazette, Cooke City is to stage a series of events on August 1st and 2nd.
One of the activities planned has been dubbed the Golden Cookie Contest.
Meanwhile, people keen to get involved will also have the chance to take part in a gold panning session, as well as a Gold Rush Treasure Hunt.
The hunt will involve contestants seeking gold and silver treasures which are to be hidden in Cooke City's Main Street.
Wrapping up the proceedings, there will be a country chick supper and a programme of live music.
The money raised will go towards a community building for the town.
As a result of the gold rush in the US around 150 years ago, hundreds of thousands of people from across the country, as well as from Europe, Asia and Latin America, flocked to the hills of California in an attempt to make their fortune.
